Where Dandelions Go: the film

Watch the stories created by the P3 children at Craigroyston Primary School and their families

In the spring, you might have seen the story on hoardings around Pennywell Square. Now you can enjoy Where Dandelions Go in film form, narrated by Michelle Wood.

In this set of stories, dandelion seeds float on the breeze around North Edinburgh, encountering different characters. Children play with their pets, do yoga and help their parents prepare food. Meanwhile the clouds in the sky are shapeshifting, a plane arrives and passers-by go about their daily lives.

This story was created in 2019 by the P3 children from Craigroyston Primary School and their families, who worked with Eleanor Thom, our Communities Writer in Residence. It is part of our ongoing Citizen project, which works in North Edinburgh and Musselburgh, and offers local people a platform to explore identity, connection and place. We are grateful to North Edinburgh Arts for their support in helping us to create Where Dandelions Go and look forward to working with them with other Citizen projects this autumn.
