Dropped at the ‘Flo Home’ as it was known (Florence Nightingale Nurses Home) to start my 3 year RGN training at the South Lothian College of Nursing and Midwifery. Happy and fun times both on and off the wards!

I continued to work in the RIE after qualifying, around the various operating theatres for 10 years. A career I am STILL enjoying to this day, albeit another part of the country.

Visiting my daughter who is part of the site team at the Edinburgh Book Festival which is being hosted in the building.

How lovely to see her in my old ‘stomping ground’ making her way. And how wonderful to see the old RIE put to such good use.
