If I chose one thing to do each year in my life, it would be to attend the Festival. I have always had a voice, sometimes silent within me, other times shared with others. Sometimes appreciated, sometimes oppressed. The Festival illuminates those who put their voices to paper but reminds us that we all have something to share – that our voices together can be an opera or a punk rock musical. The festival makes me feel alive with wonder and I feel so honoured and excited to share the space with such illumination.
