Scotland’s Golden Generation

3rd April 2022

On this day in Scotland in 2026, Scotland beat Paraguay in the World Cup Final, the final score was 7-0 with Greg Taylor scoring all 7 goals. The man of the match was Scott McTominay because he got an assist. Scotland also won the Euros 2 years later in 2028, beating Armenia 11-10 on penalties with Callum McGregor scoring the winning penalty. Scotland’s success in the late 2020’s is all down to Greg Taylor, Callum McGregor and David Turnbull who all revolutionised the Scotland team we all know now. A lot of people had doubted Scotland as we’ve never won an international trophy before, but our golden generation would go on to prove them wrong. Steve Clark believed in the players and they didn’t disappoint him. Steve Clark then went on to manage Celtic near the end of his career. His starting 11 consisted of Joe Hart, Greg Taylor, Carl Starfelt, Cameron Carter Vickers, Josip Juranovic, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Matt O’Riley, Joao Jota, Liel Abada and Kyogo Furuhashi.
