On this day in 1967 a young family wakes up as their mother starts to make the fry-up.The day feels magical birds are chirping and as it is just a small coastal home that they live in the young boy asks his parents,

“Dad please, please”

“Ask your mum”

As the kid goes to ask his mum he looks at the door and runs as he goes to the beach and the rocks have a crazy seal looking skin on them so he has to investigate and there is people playing on the beach he has heard of the selkies but thought it was just a myth but it is true he takes the skin so everyone will believe me yet when the young boy goes home yet no one believes him his mum says “oh hunny that’s just an old myth”
The boy pleads his story yet none believes him so the next day he goes back and nothing is there except from a young girl crying the boy is amazed she is so beautiful the boy asks,

“Why do you cry” the girls exclaimed.

“You have my skin” the thinks if I keep the skin she will be with me forever so he keeps the skin and the girl comes home with him his parents are amazed for the beauty that is this girl likes her son yet the girl has a plan and when the boy leaves for his friends his and the girl searches the house up and down then she finds it under his bed she cries as she and the boys mother have created a bond as strong as steel yet she has to live her life in the sea.

The girl says her last goodbyes and runs to the sea.
